Well, I figured that since this lazy ass of mine is not likely to produce any stories in a very timely manner, I might as well write crap again, to fill time and also take up blog space. Let's expound on the uselessness of my internet connection today, shall we?
At this moment, I am trying to load a movie on Youtube - not exactly constructive time-filling, I know, but such is the life of the idle - but it has been determined to be an absolutely impossible task. For even as I am writing this post, my internet connection has broken twice. And it's not exactly going at the speed of a supersonic jet when it's NOT broken. So for the every 5 minutes that I manage to stay connected, the movie loads to about the length of...oh, a little past 1 minute. If it's the standard hour and a half long, then, I should be able to watch it in about 7 hours - if I did not have to keep reloading it.
Youtube aside, though, my internet connection's been behaving very blessedly these 3 days. Do not misunderstand me by thinking that this means it's been faster than usual - it simply means that by some miracle there IS a connection for me to connect at all. Its having relieved me of the necessity of carrying a laptop all over town in search of a place in which to access the internet makes me almost want to kiss my modem - almost.
But I am not being fair. It's not entirely the internet connection's fault that it is nonexistent. It's my fault too, because I stay in what could (previously) be deemed practically a forest. The college hostel is located among a grove of luscious green trees; it is peaceful and very conducive to study. Unfortunately, at this point I have to rob you of this beautiful but nevertheless completely false illusion. The grove of luscious green trees have just been cut down; the place looks like Hurricane Katrina has been through it. Needless to say, the men cutting down the trees as well as the equipment they use makes it noisy and extremely in-conducive to study.
But I don't do them justice either. Although there are no scientific researches to support it, there is a possibility that, the grove of luscious green trees having been removed, I shall receive less visits from these charming little night critters known as mosquitoes. However, I still received a very surprising and slightly scary (I'm a teeny bit scared of bugs. Shut up - everyone has their fears) visit from a strange-looking bug a few nights ago. It looked a bit like a hybrid cross between a cockroach and a daddy-long-legs. And I have no idea what it was. My brave and daring roommate trapped it under a bucket and threw it out of the room. It's a good thing she's not as queasy about insects as me, really, because they visit often - and not all of them are immediately identifiable, either.
Anyway, I reckon I've now crapped enough to bore y'all right out of your pants. So I'mma go to watch Part 1 of my movie now (which, praise the Lord, has finished loading). My next post may be either crap or a (crappy) story, depending on whichever suits my fancy. Till then.
